Excerpt from the 4th movement (finale) played by the London Symphony Orchestra at a concert to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people over Japanese Fascism, in 1945 – a long struggle for national liberation in which some 35 million Chinese people gave their lives.
Enjoy the tumultuous and turbulent conclusion of this breathtaking composition, as the harmonious strains of the Internationale emerge, as if triumphing over all hardship.
The concert was hosted by the Chinese embassy, and attended by the Vice premier of the People’s Republic of China.
