With profound sadness, the Communist Party Marxist – Kenya pays tribute to Comrade Harpal Brar, a visionary leader and a revolutionary giant whose unwavering commitment to Marxism-Leninism has left an indelible mark on the international communist movement.
His relentless struggle against imperialism, revisionism and opportunism shaped a generation of revolutionaries and fortified the fight for socialism.
In a period when the forces of reaction sought to dilute and distort Marxist theory, Comrade Harpal stood firm, upholding and advancing the scientific ideology of the proletariat.
Through his extensive writings, including Perestroika: The Complete Collapse of Revisionism and Trotskyism or Leninism?, he armed revolutionaries with the theoretical clarity necessary to navigate the complexities of class struggle.
His steadfast defence of socialist nations, from Yugoslavia to Libya, and his exposure of imperialist crimes, made him a beacon of truth in an era of misinformation and deceit.
As the founder of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) and editor of Lalkar, Comrade Harpal provided steadfast revolutionary leadership, demonstrating the necessity of discipline, theory and optimism in the strength of the working class.
His influence reached far beyond Britain, inspiring comrades across the world – from Yugoslavia and Turkey to Australia, Kenya and Cuba.
We honour Comrade Harpal not only in words but in action. The greatest tribute to his legacy is to carry forward his work to deepen our understanding of Marxism-Leninism, to organise with revolutionary purpose, and to remain resolute in the struggle against imperialism and capitalism.
Though he has departed, his teachings, vision and revolutionary spirit will continue to guide us.
Comrade Harpal Brar, present in our struggles!
In proletarian solidarity
