Yemen’s steadfast support of the Palestinian resistance is impossible to ignore, despite the machinations of the imperialist propaganda machine. Even here in Britain, where the media’s lie machine is tripping over itself to obfuscate the realities of what is happening in Palestine, ordinary workers previously unaware of Palestine’s war of resistance have been applauding Yemen’s principled stand alongside Palestine against Israel and US imperialism. Comrade Harpreet, proletarian writer and member of the party, will give a talk on the subject.

In the same vein. Burkina Faso has also catapulted into the news for its rejection of, in this case, French imperialism, and its role in bringing together two other states in the Sahel region in Africa since the popular coup. Their shining beacon of example in standing up against western imperialism, and the demonstration that African states don’t have to put up with imperialist military bases in their land, is not without precedent – Thomas Sankara’s revolution holds an important place in the region’s history. A presentation on the matter will be given by Comrade Eleonore, a leading organiser of the party.
