On 20 May, Venezuela held presidential elections, with Nicolás Maduro winning a second six-year term in office. His party, the PSUV, is totally committed to the principle of the redistribution of the national wealth in favour of the poor and underprivileged.
As legendary footballer Diego Maradona declared: “I’m very glad Maduro didn’t lose, because the United States would have taken everything, just like they’re doing in Argentina.”
