Though most of the mines closed some time ago, the Durham Miners’ Gala is still a major demonstration. Marching from the city centre to the old Racecourse will be many pit banners and brass bands from the surrounding mining towns.
CPGB-ML comrades will be holding our usual stall at this annual celebration of working-class politics and culture, so come and find our comrades and pick up some of our essential literature, from leaflets and papers to our latest pamphlets and core Marxist classics.
