Dr Ranjeet points to the marketisation of our health service and the way it has been used to siphon huge funds into the private sector, with the NHS budget merely acting as a funnel for the cash to these corporations that are bleeding the state treasury dry.
Pointing out the adbsurdity of setting up a market inside the health service, Dr Ranjeet likens the concept to trying to do the same within a family: “Your children could sell you affection and you could sell them a roof over their heads.”
The fundamental weakening of our NHS is revealed by the way in which care is being rationed, treatments are being cancelled and staff worked into exhaustion.
