The following resolution was passed unanimously by the tenth party congress of the CPGB-ML.
This congress welcomes the growing alliance between the DPRK and Russia, which we are convinced will be extremely beneficial to both parties.
In the case of the DPRK, congress welcomes the fact that the extreme difficulties the country has suffered in the past, through being cast into isolation at the instance of US imperialism, will certainly be significantly lessened. This will bring relief to the people of the DPRK who have, under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea, refused to be intimidated by even the severest of difficulties that they have had to face.
Congress salutes the indomitable spirit of the DPRK’s people, who have defended their country’s sovereignty and its socialism for over 75 years, knowing that they are too precious to be surrendered, no matter what the cost. We welcome the inspiration and guidance given to the people by their leader, Comrade Kim Jong Un, who remains the embodiment of the party’s leadership and the people’s single-hearted unity in their life-and-death struggle to preserve their freedom and independence.
Congress denounces the continuing and escalating belligerent acts of aggression committed by, or at the behest of, US imperialism (such as its constant anti-DPRK war exercises and the recent use of drones by the puppet government in Seoul to invade DPRK air space). Such provocations keep the Korean peninsula constantly hovering on the brink of a new war, and congress believes that it is only the development of the DPRK’s powerful nuclear deterrent that has prevented imperialism from having already started a war of conquest against the DPRK.
Congress greets revolutionary Korea, its people and its leaders, and expresses the hope that the DPRK, which is the oldest surviving socialist state in the world, will continue to stand as a model of courage and steadfastness in the defence of socialism and sovereignty, and as a heroic example to oppressed people everywhere of what can be achieved by the invincible combination of proletarian dictatorship and a planned economy.
Congress declares that should the imperialists or their puppets in the so-called ‘Republic of Korea’ be successful in launching a new war of aggression against people’s Korea, our party will oppose the imperialist side with every means at our disposal and do everything in our power to expose the media’s lies, disrupt any part of the imperialist war machine that operates in Britain, and support a victorious outcome for the DPRK.
Long live the DPRK, harbinger of the new world that is struggling to be born!
