Dear Comrade Kim Jong Un and dear Comrades of the Workers’ Party of Korea
We, the newly formed Hands Off Korea solidarity group, extend our heartfelt congratulations for the selfless fraternal solidarity shown by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in uniting with Russia in the Ukrainian conflict. This act continues Korea’s proud and heroic history of standing steadfast against imperialism and upholding the dignity and sovereignty of oppressed peoples everywhere. The heroic soldiery of the Korean forces, alongside the battle-hardened fighters of the Russian Federation, liberating the Kursk region from the Nato-backed Kiev regime, is inspirational to all anti-imperialists suffering under the yoke of the great evil.
We are members of the Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) and have formed Hands Off Korea to celebrate the achievements of the DPRK, its dedication to the scientific socialism of Marxism-Leninism, and its resolute application of the Juche idea. We aim to expose the imperialist propaganda praising ROK and the lies about the revolutionary peoples of the DPRK, and to connect our struggles in international solidarity. We will strive to convince workers in the heart of imperialism against our ruling class’s drive to war with Korea. We will protect the legacy of the Korean revolution with all our power.
The success of the Korean and Chinese revolutionary armies against Japanese colonialism was momentous in freeing the peoples of east Asia from imperialist domination, laying the groundwork for the anti-imperialist front that continues to this day. The Korean people’s unyielding resistance against the barbaric aggression of the United States and its vassals during the Fatherland Liberation War further cemented this revolutionary legacy. Their victory in that just war laid the foundation for the steadfast revolutionary spirit that today once again rises to confront imperialism in all its forms. Just as in the 1950s the Korean people fought back against the imperialist war machine, so too today does Korea stand, a pillar of anti-imperialist solidarity.
The strides that Korea has made in creating a society free of class oppression are awe-inspiring, including the development of a military not only capable of defending the homeland but of posing a palpable threat to imperialism when Korean troops are deployed in support of comprehensive military partners such as the Russian Federation. At a time when the imperialism is attempting to tighten its grip of hegemony as capitalism is in serious decline, the DPRK stands tall and proud against the constant threat of attack.
We offer our care and concern to any Korean soldiers killed or wounded during their brave assault on the Kiev forces in the battle to liberate Kursk. Their blood is not shed in vain; it waters the fertile soil of liberation. We pass on our love, support, and condolences to the families of those soldiers, and we hope one day to lay flowers on the newly-erected monument commemorating the sacrifices made by their loved ones – a monument that will stand as a testament to the Korean people’s internationalist duty fulfilled.
The astonishing progress made by the DPRK in fields such as education, healthcare, science and culture, despite nearly total isolation, is proof of the superiority of the socialist system. Where capitalism spreads only poverty, disease and despair, Korea builds a prosperous life for its people, demonstrating that a planned economy, and the emancipation of the proletariat, will bring a truly meaningful and fulfilling life.
In the face of escalating imperialist aggression across the world, from Gaza to the Donbass, the example set by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea shines bright. Hands Off Korea is committed to strengthening the bonds of solidarity between the working class of Britain and our class compatriots of Korea. We pledge to fight the poisonous lies of imperialist propaganda, to spread the truth of Korea’s achievements, and to build a new movement of active support for Korea’s just cause.
We also extend our heartfelt support to Comrade Kim Jong Un and the comrades of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and praise them for their great successes in creating a truly sovereign, socialist state.
Long live the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea!
Long live the dictatorship of the proletariat!
